Children are exposed to these lessons by the catechists using the Montessori style of learning. It is an approach to working with children that supports, challenges and guides their spiritual quest. The children have the opportunity to respond to the lesson using their own style of learning. The environment is an 'open' environment in the sense that children make choices regarding both the materials they use and the process by which they work. The catechists set boundaries by managing time, space and relationships.
