The Faith In our Future Committee is committed to preserving the rich history of Divine Mercy Parish and transforming us for the next generation of Divine Mercy Parish

History:

The Divine Mercy Building Committee was established by the Divine Mercy Parish Council in June 2008.  Members were selected by the Parish Council to represent all areas of parish committees and ministries

 

The members are:

Chuck Kendall (Buildings and Grounds)
Teresa Piraino (Home and School)
 Judi Backes (Director of ChristianFormation)
 Joe Dulka (Treasurer Trustee, Finance Committee)
Rich Lussier (Finance Committee, Parish Council Member)
Cathy Wendt (Pastoral Administrator)         
Chris Sepersky (Director of Liturgy & Music, Building Chair)

The Building Committee was established to act on two purposes:

1.     Add a Gathering Space and a Christian Formation space To the Marquette Avenue church.  This will open up the Possibility of selling other properties or re-purposing them.
2.
     To renew our identity as the Parish of Divine Mercy

Through this building project, we will build a physical building (purpose #1) and we will build the people – the Church (purpose #2).

Upcoming Dates for Building Project

        

Jan 5th       6:30 pm at MQ for Advisory Group

Purpose – review changes to new addition. View proposal for Worship Space

Jan 27th    7:00 pm at Marquette Ave for Parish Forum  
Jan 31st   9:00 am at Marquette Avenue for Parish Forum

 Purpose – Chance for parish at large to view proposals and give feedback to building committee

Feb 10th 7:00 pm at Parish offices for Building committee

Purpose – Building committee to review input and changes as a result of January 5th Advisory Group meeting and parish forums at the end of January

Thurs, Feb 12   6:30 pm at MQ rectory - combined parish council, finance committee, and building committee together

  Purpose – Achieve consensus from all three committees in regards to building project.  Hopefully, to endorse the work of building committee to this point and re-start the “Faith in Our Future” campaign.

Thurs, Feb 19 6:30 pm at parish offices - parish council meets

Purpose – Parish council able to discuss ideas from the Feb 12th meeting and ask any more questions.

Feb 24th   7:00 pm at 16th lower hall for parish forum if needed

 Purpose – only needed if feedback from January forum or February meetings require another forum

April 11   

Archdiocesan Building Committee Meets Divine Mercy submits Proxy, form C by mid-March Form C is for approval of preliminary design plans.

Projected:

August 27

 

 

Archdiocesan Building Committee Meets Divine Mercy submits Proxy, form D by mid-August Form D is the final proxy for approval to start digging

Form D requires us to submit final architectural plans, a 5-year financial projection, and bids from contractors
