Goodness of God

Hey y’all!
God is good, all the time. Even when we don’t feel like we deserve His goodness, He is good. Even when we don’t want to acknowledge His goodness, He is good. Even when we don’t recognize His goodness, He is good. Even when bad things happen, He is good.
One of my favorite worship songs right now is called Goodness of God. I’m going to post the lyrics. I encourage you to read them and reflect on God’s goodness in your life. We have a tendency to reflect on bad things that have happened to us or our own sins and failures. When we decide to change our perspective and think about God’s goodness, two things happen. First, we get outside ourselves and focus on what and Who really matters. Secondly, our attitude shifts from one of negativity and shame to one of positivity and gratitude.
An attitude of gratitude goes a long way, especially in our relationship with God. We start to see everything as a gift and treat it as such. When we do this, we tend to notice more and more that God is SO generous. He gives us gifts every single day in little and big ways. When we recognize those blessings and thank Him for them, we get closer to Him.
