The following is a listing of the committees under our Commission. 

Your help is needed, we are looking for volunteers in many areas, especially...
We could use someone to help make phone calls and set up connections between
drivers & parishioners in Mass Transit. 
 And assistance would be appreciated at the Visitor’s Club. 

Human Concerns Commission Member - Evaluate, coordinate and set goals for parish wide human concerns.  Monthly meetings.

Bereavement Ministry – Volunteers visit a family at the wake or funeral offering them support from the parish.

Book Club – Meet monthly to discuss selected books chosen by members.

Grief Ministry – A support group offered quarterly for healing after the death of a loved one.

Interfaith – Get involved in the South Milwaukee/Oak Creek programs for the elderly by calling, driving and shopping.

“Mass” Transit – help drive parishioners to Mass.

 Parish Health Ministry – The Parish Nurse bridges faith and health to promote and maintain wellness.  Work with parish nurse to provide health opportunities including blood pressure screenings and other programs.

Partners in Faith & Friendship – Learn about our friends in Guatemala and help foster a relationship through education & cultural awareness.

Prayer Shawl Ministry – Pray while you crochet or knit a shawl for a parishioner who is ill, injured or having surgery.  The shawls are blessed & distributed.

Right to Life – Work on programs dedicated to Respect Life issues such as the Pro-life Rose Sale and the Layette Collection.

St Ben’s & St. Vincent de Paul Meal Programs – Help serve a meal at one of these sites.  Drivers and servers needed monthly.

Divine Mercy St. Vincent de Paul Society – Group of parishioners who provide direction and assistance to those in need within our community.

Sharing Sunday – A collection of food and money is taken on the 2nd weekend of every month.  The food is donated to SM Human Concerns for the needy of our community.  The monies are given to a specific charity.

Social Justice – Work on behalf of the voiceless and poor through education and advocacy.

Visitors Club – Quarterly dinners with the volunteers who visit the homebound, nursing home parishioners or hospitalized for resources, fellowship and support.
