Server Information

Service and Worship are the two most important acts we perform as Catholics.  Being a server means more than just helping the priest at mass.  By becoming a server, you are entering into a life of service in the Church.  Many adults who are ministers today started by becoming a server when they were young.  Servers serve the assembly, assist the priest and deacon, and serve God!

At Divine Mercy, servers generally start in 4th grade from both our day school and Christian Formation program, if willing.  Servers meet 15 minutes before mass to get dressed, light candles, and pray with other ministers.  During mass, servers carry items used during worship such as candles, crosses, books, and sacred vessels.
