Social and Emotional Development

• Children will be involved in making plans and expressing choices. 

• They will be actively involved in making plans and solving problems, expressing and understanding feelings, while being sensitive to others' feelings, interests and needs. 

• The skill of building relationships with children and adults create an experience of collaborative play while developing strategies for dealing with social conflict.

Daily Schedules

• Each day, children will alternate between structured and unstructured times. 

• The day follows a similar schedule of events providing consistency for both children and adults. 

• The schedule is designed to allow children to pursue their own interests,
  make plans and follow through with them. 

• During small group, children reflect on their peers and adults.

• Weekly lesson plans are posted in each classroom to keep the parents up to date on scheduled activities.
  
  
  The Tots program began in August 1999, The program started with an enrollment of roughly 40 children and now serves over 100 children.  TOTS provides a pre-school program for children beginning at the age of two through four years of age.  The preschool program is a 2 1/2 hour program that begins at 9 and ends at 11:30 a.m. and is taught by state certified teachers that follow a Christian based curriculum.  Each month, parents receive a newsletter informing them of upcoming month's events.  conferences are are held twice a year to inform parents of their child's progress. 
  
  The Center also provides full and half day programs for families that need extended child care services.  The center provides before and after school care for Divine Mercy School and Rawson Elementary School.  The children are escorted to and from Rawson Elementary School.
