I sing of mercy and justice; to you, O Lord, I will make music.
~Psalm 101:1

Divine Mercy offers many opportunities for young and old alike to offer their musical talents to God through prayer and worship.

Adult Choir

The Divine Mercy Adult Choir sings every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Mass (September to Corpus Christi Sunday), on Holy Days, Ash Wednesday, and Easter Triduum celebrations.  Our choir meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m., and our rehearsals typically go for an hour.

The Adult Choir is open to high school students and older.  While knowing how to read music is a plus, it is not required to be a member of the choir.

The Adult Choir is off for the summer, but join us for our first rehearsal on Wednesday, August 28th at 6:30 p.m..  We will sing for Mass on Sunday, September 8 at 9:30 a.m..

Youth Choir

The Divine Mercy Youth Choir is comprised of students in grades 3-8.  All Divine Mercy students in both the parish school and formation program are encouraged to join.  Students rehearse 45 minutes once a week, and we sing at the monthly Student Assisted Sunday Masses.  The Youth Choir also sings at the 4:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Mass, as well as Divine Mercy Sunday with the Adult Choir.

Additionally, all students who attend Divine Mercy School sing every Wednesday at 8:30 am during the weekly school liturgy while school is in session.

Cantors

Cantors play a vital role in leading the faithful in worship.  The cantor ministry is open to high school students and older.  It is strongly recommended that cantors are able to read music in order to practice independently before the scheduled Mass.  Typically, cantors sing 1-2 times a month, and they may be asked to sing for Holy Days, Christmas and Easter liturgies, and other special occasions.

Instrumental Music

We are always seeking instrumentalists to help enhance our music ministry.  If you are interested in sharing your instrumental music talents, please contact the parish office for more information on how to get involved.
