Adult Sessions

You don't have to have a child enrolled in our Christian Formation Program to join us at our family sessions! Are you an adult at Divine Mercy? Then you are family! Join us on Sunday mornings at 8AM and 10:30 AM as we grow and walk together in our faith.

2/10 & 2/17 - Social Media Safety & Awareness
  • We live in a digital age. All of this access to technology and interconnectedness can certainly be blessing and provide us with great tools, but it can also be a danger.
  • Megan Moore, our Christian Formation director, will share with us about safe practices and awareness of all things social media, especially in regards to our young people.
2/24 & 3/3 - Faith & Culture
  • "As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." - Joshua 24:15
  • Is there a culture of Christianity in your home? What are ways that our society exemplifies our Catholic faith? In what ways does it go against our faith?
  • Come to this session to learn about the intersection of our Catholic faith and our culture, and to dialogue about ways we live out our faith and how we model it for our children.
3/10 & 3/17 - Lenten Discussion with Cathy Wendt and Megan Moore
  • More information to come.
3/24 - Service Project with Capuchin Community Services
  • "Christ has no body on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours. Yours are the eyes through which Christ's compassion for the world is to look out. Yours are the feet with which He is to go about doing good; and yours are the hands with which He is to bless us now." - St. Teresa of Avila
  • Capuchin Community Services is partnering with our parish to collect items to fill "hygiene bags" for those experiencing homelessness in the Greater Milwaukee Area.
  • We are asking for donations of the following items:
    • Soap/Body Wash
    • Shampoo/Conditioner
    • Toothpaste/Toothbrush/Dental Floss
    • Deodorant
    • Lip Balm
    • Shaving Razor
    • Hand Sanitizer
    • Feminine Sanitary Products
    • Facial Tissues
    • Toilet Paper
    • Washcloth/Baby Wipes
    • Hand/Body Lotion
  • Come help us sort items and fill bags!
3/31 & 4/7 - Micah Pfundstein on Music & Prayer
  • Micah Pfundstein, a local singer/songwriter and the Coordinator of Missionary Outreach for Brew City Catholic, loves integrating music into his prayer life. As St. Augustine famously said, "He who sings, prays twice." Micah will share about his faith story, ways to prayer with music, and how to glorify God everyday!
4/14 & 5/5 - Jon Jossart on ministry opportunities at Divine Mercy
  • We are all given gifts from God. We are called to share those gifts with others.
  • "As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace. ... whoever serves, let it be with the strength that God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen." - 1 Peter 4: 10, 11b
  • Come hear about all of the ways that you can participate in and serve our Divine Mercy Parish family! There is something for EVERYONE!
5/12 & 5/19 - Rich Hart on "Holy Rest"
  • God rested on the seventh day. We are called to "Keep holy the Sabbath Day" and rest, too. What does "holy rest" look like? How can we rest well? Rich Harter, the Director of Evangelization for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, will answer these questions and more! Rich will talk about the theological and spiritual foundations for "holy rest," but also provide tangible ideas for how we can live out this call more fully...and just in time for summer!
