Your generosity enables us to continue our mission of financial support to our parish, school, Christian Formation and charitable contributions to So Milwaukee and surrounding community endeavors.

At our most recent meeting, we heard from Rita Sweet, 89 years young, and her son, Tom, who make mats for the homeless. Our Christian Women group has enlisted the parish to collect plastic bags to help with their endeavor. This ministry started at St. Matthew's Parish in Oak Creek. Rita and her son, Tom Sweet, heard about this ministry and Tom thought it was something his mother could do, so, they both looked into it. Tom's role is to cut the bags and Rita puts the plarn (plastic yarn) together and then makes the mats. After completion, they take them to St. Matthew's for the finishing touches. The mats are then given to shelters who serve the homeless throughout the City of Milwaukee.
Mark your calendar for our Fall Rummage sale on October 5, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.!
PLEASE continue to save the following for donation: Gently used household items, purses, clothing, shoes, craft and sewing items, home decor, baby needs, toys, books, and games. Also looking for usable garage items, working electronics, and small size furniture pieces. We also love old and unique items, as well as jewelry, for our boutique. DONATION DROP-OFF DAYS are:
Wednesday, October 2 (6-8 pm)
Thursday, October 3 (8 am-8 pm), and
Friday, October 4 (8 am-12 noon)

Who we are:
The Christian Women group are Catholic women of Divine Mercy parish. We are wives, mothers, daughters, and sisters. We are older
adults, young adults, retirees, and those in the work force.
What we do:
The primary mission of Christian Women is continuing spiritual formation, through private and group prayer and mass attendance.
Our secondary mission is spiritual and corporal works of mercy for parish needs and community outreach programs.
Third is the moral and financial support of Divine Mercy parish school and Christian Formation program.
Why join?
In a world that can seem chaotic and unpredictable, like-minded women joining together for spiritual growth and charitable works is a blessing to the soul, the mind and the heart!

Meetings are held following Mass at 800 Marquette Avenue in the Gathering Space.
