God Moved in Power - A Historic Outpouring of Grace

The 10th National Eucharistic Congress was a profound moment for the whole Church in the United States as our Catholic family united in prayer. 60,000 Catholics gathered in Indianapolis for this generational event, and countless more across the nation joined in via livestream July 17-21.

Divine Mercy was represented by parishioners Dennis & Sue Irwin (who coordinate our Eucharistic Adoration events), Laurie Nerat, Brian & JoAnn Gates, and Glenn & Sue Margraff.  Dennis & Sue were kind enough to share some pictures with us (see below).  We've also linked EWTN and the National Eucharistic Revival websites so you can access recordings of the keynote speakers and Congress offerings and discover more about the Revival, why it matters, and your role in it all.

As we continue this period of Eucharistic Revival and enter this Year of Mission, we invite all to grow closer to God through Adoration and frequent reception of the Eucharist.  Take advantage of the many opportunities Divine Mercy offers and let revival take hold in your hearts!  Our next 24-Hour Adoration will be taking place October 18-19, but we offer daily Adoration a half hour before each morning Mass and 8:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m. every Wednesday.

“Jesus has made Himself the Bread of Life to give us life.  Night and day, He is there.  If you really want to grow in love, come back to the Eucharist, come back to that Adoration.”

 - St. Teresa of Calcutta

Divine Mercy Parish was honored to be one of the host stops and leg for the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage as 1 of 50 parishes in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee to be selected for this historic event. The procession recently came through South Milwaukee on June 24th, and processed from the school parking lot at 695 College Avenue to our main worship site at 800 Marquette Avenue.

Check out our pictures from the day!  Thank you to Bridget and Maureen Walsh for sharing their photos with us and to all who took part in this historic journey!
