The Bereavement Ministry was formed to give support to grieving families.
Parish volunteers attend the wake or funeral of the parishioner with a card signed “Divine Mercy Parish Family.” The volunteer offers condolences to the family, and as appropriate shares Stories and memories of the deceased with the family.
This ministry is very appreciated by the families and can fit into anyone’s schedule. Some wakes and funerals are in the evening so even working volunteers can offer their time.
